Repair Work

I can repair or modify many items that are built or molded out of HDPE. In some instances, I may be able to match or closely match some colors with available off-the-shelf weld wire (additional costs may be involved).

Rotomolded Kayak Repair

This kayak was brought to me with a hole worn through the rear end of the keel. I cleaned it up (first photo) and rebuilt the keel with some black HDPE weld wire.

Total time on the repair was about an hour.

Sundolphin Seam Repair

This Sundolphin boat was brought to me with about 6 feet of seam destroyed. I rebuilt the seam by lapping weld then cleaning it up with a dremel. The color didn’t have to match so much as a trim piece was put back over it.

Total time on the repair was about 3 hours.

Transducer Mount

The same Sundolphin boat came back about two weeks later to have a transducer mount installed on the transom. I was suppled the mount and simply needed to weld it on.

Total time on the addition was maybe 15-20 minutes by the time I pulled the welder out and heated it up.
