About Me

My name is Andrew Wyman, and I’ve spent nearly my entire life in the Skagit Valley. The rivers, marshes, and tide flats here have been my playground since I was a kid. I love fishing, hunting, crabbing, and clamming — and I share all of it with my wife and two kids.

Most of my experience with salmon and waterfowl is centered on the Skagit River and its delta, and that’s exactly why I want to share it with you. We hook plenty of salmon on the Skagit, and I’m always working to refine my approach and try new techniques. Waterfowling in the delta is a dynamic, tidal hunt that changes by the day — and that’s part of what makes it special.

I operate an 18’ Wooldridge with an outboard jet, set up specifically for the rivers and wetlands we hunt and fish. It’s a lightweight, shallow-running platform that lets us reach super skinny water and tucked away channels. It’s also my second home, and I spend way too much time on it.

I run Wyman Guide Service with a simple philosophy: Small groups and high‑quality days built around the conditions, not the clock. I can’t promise limits — tides, weather, and critters all have their own ambitions — but I can absolutely guarantee a fun, laid‑back day on the water. When you come fish or hunt with me, the trip is yours, and my goal is to see you leave happy.

I served as a Navy submarine veteran stationed in Pearl Harbor, I hold a bachelor’s degree in physics from Western Washington University (yeah, seriously), and I’ve spent my professional career in boatbuilding right here in Skagit County.

I’m currently awaiting my Coast Guard credentials and plan to begin guiding in September 2026.

About the Dog

This is Maddie. I take her with me hunting and fishing. She is a happy doofus and makes a decent duck dog. She makes her share of the retrieves and is most helpful in finding those birds we crash into the thick cattails or across channels. She also loves donuts…
