Salmon

One Angler - $300, Two Anglers - $500

Salmon fishing on the Skagit brings big river scenery and strong seasonal runs that make each trip a great time. I target humpies (pinks), sockeye, silvers (coho), and kings (chinook). Each species brings its own pace, technique, and excitement.

I use only high-end Lamiglas rods and Shimano reels to give you the best opportunity, the best feel, and the best fight when you hook a fish. When you fish with me, expect quality gear to be in your hand.

Pinks (Humpies)

The summer pink salmon run occurs odd years only and starts in August. It brings in an enormous number of fish, meaning fast and constant action. This is a fun and very easy fishery for anyone and is a great introduction to salmon fishing.

Coho (Silvers)

Our fall coho season usually starts up in early September and runs through November, with the season often extended into December. Coho numbers are robust and the run offers great action. These fish are heavy and hard fighters and provide a fantastic experience for anglers of all ages and skill. This is my favorite fishery on the Skagit.

Sockeye

The sockeye season starts in mid-June and runs into July. It is a gradually growing fishery due to joint hatchery efforts collaborated between WDFW and the Skagit Tribe. This is a good chance to catch and eat these fine-tasting fish.

Chinook (Kings)

The chinook season runs late April thru Mid-May for the lower Skagit (between Mount Vernon and Sedro Woolley) and Mid-May thru Mid-July on the upper Skagit (Rockport thru Marblemount).

FAQ and Expectations

What should I expect?

I will contact you the day before and indicate what launch and what time we’ll meet at. Start times and launch location change with time of year and fishery. Trips will usually last from early morning until lunchtime to early afternoon.

Action varies with species, how many fish are currently running through, river conditions, and weather. I cannot guarantee limits, but I will do my best to try and put you on them if they’re there. Ask me if you have questions!

Above all else, expect to have a FUN TIME.

Can I bring my own rods and gear?

Absolutely, but I do provide everything.

Can I bring my kid along?

YES! The trip is limited to 2-3 anglers (dependent on trip type), but I am kid-friendly and support making memories with them. It can be exciting for them to be out on the boat, on the river and seeing the fish.

Your child must have weather-appropriate attire. I must also know ahead of time to ensure adequate life jackets are onboard or you may bring a properly-sized one for your child yourself.
