Fishing our lakes can be fun! I run these trips a bit shorter (2-3 hours is plenty) and low-cost to keep them accessible. Trout trips are a great entry into fishing if you are new to the sport. They are a perfect trip if you are a family with kids as the fishing is easy and the action is typically quite constant.

I fish trout by trolling with spoons or Powerbait on our lowland lakes from the opener to the end of May. We sometimes also hook panfish and perch, which can be fun for the kids to see.

I like to use very lightweight rods with the drag set way down on the reels—makes you feel like you’re fighting something big.

I only offer trout trips for a few short weeks before salmon seasons start up.

I support youth fishing! If you have a fourth angler who is a youth, they are welcome to come along at the 2-3 angler rate, space dependent.
