Salmon
Salmon fishing on the Skagit brings big river scenery and strong seasonal runs that make each trip a great time. We’ll target humpies (pinks), sockeye, or silvers (coho), depending on the trip and time of year. Chinook (kings), dolly varden and steelhead all move through this system and occasionally we see one of them on the hook. Each species brings its own pace, technique, and excitement. The size of the Skagit gives us multiple productive ways to target fish, whether we’re anchoring on a lane or working an active presentation. When a push of fish hits the river, the action can turn on fast and hard.
I use only high-end rods and reels to give you the best opportunity, the best feel, and the best fight when you hook a fish. When you fish with me, expect the finest gear to be in your hand—It’s the same gear I use, and I don’t chintz on it.
I currently do not offer trips targeting chinook, dolly varden or steelhead specifically. This will change in future years.

I will contact you the day before and indicate what launch we will meet at and what time we will be meeting. Start times and launch location vary with time of year and fishery.
Expect catch count to vary on how many fish are currently running through, river conditions, and weather. I cannot guarantee limits or very rarely any fish, but I will do my best to try and put you on them if they’re there.
Action varies with species: Humpies tend to have tons of quick, constant action. Silvers provide modest, yet consistent action and put up incredible, memorable fights—especially the big guys. Sockeye action is highly variable, but tends to be best very early in the morning or towards the end of the evening.
Above all else, expect to have a FUN TIME.
-
Absolutely, but we do provide everything.
-
Until limits are reached or we hit our time limit based off trip type.
-
YES! The trip is limited to 2-3 anglers (dependent on trip type), but if you’ve got a young kid who wants to tag along, they are more than welcome to as I am kid-friendly and support making memories with them. It can be exciting for them to be out on the boat, on the river and seeing the fish.
Note: Your child must have weather-appropriate attire. I must also know ahead of time to ensure adequate life jackets are onboard or you may bring a properly-sized one for your child yourself.
-
Yes, cleaning and filleting is included. Your catch will be bagged for transport.
