Kokanee

Kokanee (landlocked sockeye salmon) are present in a number of our lakes throughout Skagit and Whatcom counties. These smaller kin to their sockeye brethren have orange flesh that is mild tasting, but great eating.

Productive days can find us with a full stringer of these fish!

Alternatively, and depending on the time of year, we can hit a local lake for rainbow trout or panfish instead.
